Sad News

Many of you know my friend, Tricia.  Her mother passed away today and I feel as though it is only right to take a moment and reflect on the life of a wonderful woman.  I only had the opportunity to meet her a few times, but it was always a pleasure to be in her presence.  She had a way of bringing out the best of everyone around her through her strength and positive attitude.  She lived in the moment and she truly cared about everyone around her.  If she asked you a question, she was genuinely interested in your answer.  I always felt I became a better person from spending time with such a peaceful and happy person.

Tricia and her sister are so much like their mom and I have always envied the relationship Tricia had with her mom.  I hope all mothers reading this think about the impact we have on our children's lives.  We have today and we have tomorrow to make a difference and be the mother we know we should be.  I know motherhood was very important to Tricia's mom, and she held that in high regards throughout her life.
She was a great mother and a great person to admire and emulate.

I am sorry to hear the news. I hope that Tricia and her family deal with the loss as gracefully as possible.

Life brings us tears, smiles and memories. The tears dry, the smiles fade, but the memories will last forever.

Enjoy every moment in Japan, Monica. You deserve it! Love ya, Tricia
